HAROLD FALTERMEYER`S SYNTHESISER ALMOST AS LIVELY AS AXEL FOLEY`S MOTORMOUTH
YouTube - Axel F - Harold Faltermeyer (Original Version)
This was not what I had in mind tonight, but because I cant successfully embed video links from You Tube for whatever reason once again, for a while there I could, I thought I would hang five on what I was going to write about and instead write a little blog about a song from the 80`s which I guess soundtracked my conscience growing up as a young whippersnapper.

The song of course as you can "see" above courtesy of the `non-visual` link is Harold Faltermeyer`s AXEL F, the theme song
from the hit 1984 movie Beverley Hills Cop.
from the hit 1984 movie Beverley Hills Cop.
Nothing too fancy about it, it is one of the most densely textured synthesiser tunes in the history of recorded music which has a very 80`s noir atmospheric feel which fitted in perfectly with the choreographed action sequences in Beverley Hills Cop and the antics of motormouth cop Axel Foley, played to perfection by smart arse funny man Eddie
Murphy.
Murphy.
Nothing more to say other than it is a brilliant futuristic instrumental keyboard song which opened my eyes up as a young kid to tolerating all kinds of instrumental music, including jazz and classical.
AXEL F did not a need a singer to paint any pictures with words, Harold Faltermeyer`s synthesiser done the talking. The song has been covered since but this is the one.
