WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? MY PERSONAL VIEW ON QUEENSLAND HOUSING CRISIS "KIDNAPPING"

Taking children away from their parents, no matter what the situation is, no matter how diabolical the housing crisis remains in Queensland, surely, unless child abuse or neglect is involved, must be avoided at all costs.

If premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and housing minister Leeanne Enoch aren't thinking the same thing then something is radically wrong with not only the government's response to the housing crisis but with its fundamental core values.

Question is - who are the "unelected think-tanks" who have been given the sickening authority to decree that children be removed from their parent's custody and be made wards of the state? In all but a minority of instances it's absolutely preposterous.

No matter how bad the housing crisis is, no matter how cramped and uncomfortable that any form of "temporary accommodation" is, if the parents can feed their children, if there is running water, a mattress and a toilet, and the children are not being abused in any manner and are not malnourished, then no government, no bureaucracy, has any right to take children away from their parents.

What child would want to lose their parents and become a ward of the state if they are not a victim of abuse or neglect?

Ask the children who have already been effectively kidnapped. If the Palaszczuk government doesn't want blood on its hands in the years to come by using the housing crisis as some kind of terrible excuse to exercise such macabre statutory overreach, and create another "stolen generation" of kids, then it will very quickly put a halt to it.
