CHILD SAFETY DEPARTMENT QUEENSLAND CONTINUES TO LET KIDS BE HARMED IN THE WORST WAY

The Child Safety Department can thank privacy law and confidentiality overkill for being allowed to operate and carry out its functions as a law unto itself.

Just about every child and adolescent who has been abused, tortured or worse still, killed, due to the Child Safety Department's incompetence and negligence, has endured what they have because of that and just plain bureaucratic red tape.

What needs to change is that every single incident or report of alledged or corroborated abuse against children and adolescents in foster care to the Department must be treated on a case by case basis and followed through by the same case officer from start to finish.

Furthermore, any privacy law obstructions which continue to stop the open and transparent sharing of information between the Child Safety Department and the police must be totally removed.

Too many children and adolescents, in foster care or not, continue to suffer horrendous abuse while bureaucracy and governmental ineptitude are preventing their cries for help to be heard. This has got to stop - like about now.
