CHINA'S SOUTH CHINA SEA "INVASION" DEMANDS THAT PORT OF DARWIN LEASE TO LANDBRIDGE IS STOPPED
China's ongoing and ultra-nationalist charged crusade into the South China Sea could well be seen as a much greater threat to US security than other countries bordering the Pacific.
President Xi Jinping's warmongering and hostile dialogue almost seems to indicate that he wants a war with America, like he is peppering Obama to retaliate first and ignite some sort of Pacific war.
Certainly, events in the South China Sea should be of great concern to prime minister Malcolm Turnbull and foreign minister Julie Bishop. If Turnbull has his fingers on the pulse of national security like he should, then he must do one thing, before any further ado.
The prime minister must act in the national interest to overturn the Northern Territory government's approval for the Port of Darwin to be leased to China's Landbridge.
Landbridge is a clear and present threat to Australia's security - simply because it has clandestine links to the People's Liberation Army in China.
In view of the South China Sea's relative proximity to Australia - handing control of Australia's most northern port to Landbridge is a national security conundrum and simply cannot be allowed to happen.
