ROSS `THE BOSS` AND THE $64000 QUESTION HE WANTED ANSWERED BY A HOT CHICK

One of my biggest inspirations behind creating Lost Treasures Review in the first place was aussie rocker Ross Wilson, who I have always regarded as the true king of Australian rock`n`roll.

Despite many years languishing as a record producer in the 70`s and as a near has been throughout the 90`s, Ross `The Boss` Wilson has written enough classics, or at least sung enough good ones, to be worthy of getting the mantle I have personally anointed him with.

If I was to pick a classic rock`n`roll song written in the past twenty years which tickles my fancy the most, then no, it isn`t a beefed up re-recording of Eagle Rock, which is considered to be up in the top three best rock`n`roll songs of all time in Australia, but it is in fact a 2 minute ditty recorded by Daddy Cool when they briefly re-united in 1994.

The song is a groovy piece of doowop boogie
called `$64000 Question`. I love the song, it rolls more than it rocks actually, it`s as slick as anything Ross `The Boss` cooked up with his late 70`s and 80`s outfit Mondo Rock but it has this real grainy "bluesy-ness" about it, not to mention some great bass chugging it along.

But it retains a level of sophistication which
makes it sound and feel very house jazzy and intimate. I believe`$64000 Question` is up there in the top 6 six songs RW has sung
in his career, confident, brash, and with some laidback attitude.
