Israel's defence forces had every right to enter Gaza, and West Bank as well, in a strategic, covert capacity, with proper, genuine military intelligence as a guidepost, to destroy anyone or anything that was connected to Hamas.
What Israel had no right to do, and still doesn't have a right to do, is to view the rightful war it is waging against Hamas as an excuse to continue to pummel Gaza into ruins and very evidently, commit acts of mass genocide against innocent Palestinians.
Netanyahu cannot justify, under any interpretation of international law, targeting unarmed Palestinians who are retreating from, and not confronting
Israeli military officers who are firing off their artillery indiscriminately, with the express intention of killing them and other Palestinians, without provocation. This is what you call war crimes.
Right now, Rafah, at the very southern end of the Palestinian territory near the border with Egypt, is a hellhole. Before the war, it had a population of around 200000. Now it has around 1500000.
As we speak, Rafah is on the trepidice of being "evacuated by force" by Israel's military. One of the biggest humanitarian disasters in the making, all because of the huge prospect that Netanyahu is prepared to dislocate an entire nation of people to catch a few thousand rogues who are alligned with Hamas.
The international community, and the United Nations security council, must stop this before it can happen.
Netanyahu must be issued an ultimatum.
Stay away from Rafah or Israel will be the one to face the consequences of international military intervention, because an invasion of Rafah is a bridge too far and an outright declaration of war on innocent Palestinians.
