ABC Melbourne Radio host Virginia Trioli's run-in with Victorian premier Daniel Andrews, which has been fueled even further by Andrews boycotting her program in a very childish manner, clearly seems to indicate his government's acumen for understanding the value of populism has gone down the drain.
Basically, it's saying that Andrews is scared of Trioli because he knows she is going to ask some "home truth questions" on behalf of the people of Victoria if he is interviewed by her that perhaps many other persons employed in the mainstream media aren't in a position to ask him.
Like being scared of Trioli asking some tough questions as to why his government in the blink of an eye, with a sly, clandestine stroke of the pen, with absolutely no consultation with both stakeholders and the people of Victoria, outlawed new household gas installations from January 2024 - holus bolus.
The social and economic impacts on Victoria of a " total gas ban" will be profound. It has Net Zero overkill written all over it.
It paints Andrews as a political leader who is a sociopath who has completely lost sight of the fact that it's the people of Victoria he represents, not the unelected globalists from afar who are in his ear and greatly influencing his ideology and decision making.
Andrews is now scared of a lot of people in the radio, TV and newspaper media in Victoria, but Trioli must have really got under his skin. Because he doesn't want to go near her with a broom handle.
Besides the totalitarian gas ban, there is also the issue of Andrews pulling the pin on Commonwealth Games in 2026 and his government's propagandist role, not statesmanlike role, in "grooming" the yes vote for the voice to parliament.
No wonder Andrews is giving Trioli the cold shoulder and running the other way.
