The PINK FLOYD album MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON is a bit out of place in the eyes of the most hardcore fans of the UK progressive rock pioneers, it was recorded in the aftermath of the bitter parting of ways in the band of ROGER WATERS, who quit the band in 1985 and then staged a court case against the other members - guitarist/ vocalist DAVID GILMOUR, drummer NICK MASON and keyboardist RICHARD WRIGHT, to dissolve the band.

This album sounds much diffrent to any other Floyd album before it, with a much more hard rock influence on display, especially evident on probaly the heaviest Floyd song ever recorded, the title track ONE SLIP, as well as this much underated song which even Waters himself in the years since has acknowledged as being one of DAVID GILMOUR's best guitar performances - the song being SORROW. Gilmour's guitar intro to SORROW really has some grunt.
