OH HOLY NIGHT A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CAROL FOR A VERY SPECIAL NIGHT OF THE YEAR

How could i go another Christmas without putting a Christmas
carol on one of my websites? Even though i am not going to
church nowadays, i was raised as a christian and i intend
to always recognise Christmas for the right reasons, and
that being a celebration of the birth of Jesus. And it's
Christmas Eve tonight, a very special night for all the
christians out there, and my personal favourite as far
as carols go is the traditional hymn OH HOLY NIGHT.
French vocal group EL DIVO recited one of the great-
est versions of this song on a recording, if you ev-
er want to hear the 2nd best version then check
out an old Christmas album which the late John
Denver released back in the very late 70`s, it
was most probaly a contractual obligation al-
bum, a filler in other words, but regardless,
John Denver's heart was really in it and the
version of OH HOLY NIGHT that he made
is just way out there amazing. It sounds
great on vinyl, not sure if this album
was ever re-issued on CD. But talking
about EL DIVO and this live recording
of the wonderful Christmas carol, to-
night like every other Christmas Eve
for the past few years i am going to
be turning it up after i have dinner
tonight and savouring the spineting-
ling magic of this song, its just a
beautiful uplifting piece of music.
