BE PUT UNDER A SPELL BY STEVE MILLER WITH ABRACADABRA

This will not be a huge blog whatsoever, I am going without a PC at the moment and I am relying on the internet cafe and a once a day hit on the local council computer, until I sort my computer situation at home out.

But You-Tube does come in handy sometimes, and Steve Miller`s campy 70`s classic ABRACADABRA isn`t the sort of song which I have to explain that much anyway.

Long reviled by music critics as being a cop out and a forgettable example of Steve
Miller abandoning his recognisable easy to listen to brand of west coast American blues tinged rock, the fact is ABRACADABRA is no where near as terrible as the song is often made out to be.

I may be on my own by saying this, but to me ABRACADABRA sounds like a mixture of mid 70`s Eagles with the keyboard pop of ABBA in equal parts.

There is no song that sounds anything like it actually. By no means is it my favourite Steve Miller song, or even necessarily in my top 50 of all time, but this song is what I would
consider a jukebox favourite at a house party.

By the way, apologies if the sound of the You
Tube Clip is rotten, I cannot test it out and
hear it on this computer at the internet cafe.
