CENSORSHIP HAS TAKEN THE EDGE OFF PENTHOUSE DECADENCE

Just to spice things up a little bit and prove to you all that Timbo isn`t a narrowminded right-wing zealot who does not want to admit that he`s flesh and blood and likes looking at naked women, I thought I would play a bit on an email which I received presumably as a joke from a middle aged gent a few weeks back asking me to do a Lost Treasures blog on the `old` Penthouse Magazine before ultra-conservative censorship and the feminist lobby in Australia turned it into as this gentleman rightfully pointed out `a glorified lingerie magazine`.

I am a single male of 36 years of age, I have always been single, so I`m not even going to attempt to make out that I haven`t looked at quite a few nude girlie magazines over the past 20 or so years, I would have to say I`ve looked at hundreds, if not a thousand, not
that I have looked at too many in the last few years.

When I was buying Penthouse mags as a man in my late teens and early 20`s, it showed the lot and left nothing to the imagination, dont ask me to explain that any further please.

Not for a minute did I feel that my basic fundamental sense of having decent morals was degraded by my purchase of a Penthouse or another mens magazine once every fortnight or so.

We are all human, and men in particular are more physically orientated in sexuality terms, and especially when we are young and our hormones are all over the shot and changing our physiology, both men and women should be able to run with their desire to read any publication which displays pictures of nude people without having the government and all the stiff upper lip ultra-right wing brigade raining down on the party by deciding which `open leg` shots are appropriate and which ones aren`t.

Since anyone can remember as far as I am concerned, Penthouse, and I presume Playboy and and most other men's magazines, has become very unprovocative and boring, I totally agree with the gent who sent me the email.

They`re not cheap anymore, they`re worth
well over ten dollars these days and to be totally honest you see a lot more boobs and what`s below the boobs in a mag like Picture or People, particularly the former.

I am not an advocate for hardcore pornography, but I believe that any person of both sexes should be able to view the genitals of the opposite sex, or the same sex if they`re happen to be inclined that way, provided the imagery they see in a mag
does not promote sexual violence or sado-masochist activity in any form.

To me, that`s when a healthy form of sexual expression becomes evil and/or just plain sick. There is nothing wrong to me in looking at a spreadeagled woman, who gave consent to being photographed and got paid.good money as well, provided the imagery respects some limits and isn`t explicit to the point where more than just their external sexuality is on display.

And the government and the thought police shouldn`t be the ones to tell adults what they can read in way of soft porn mainstream magazines, and how much below the belt we see of consenting models who pose nude by their own free will.

Censorship is just a lame excuse which the moral hypocrites of society use to force their convictions down everyones throats.

It is a powerful and influential lobby which obviously has a very big influence over government decision making and legislation.

The fact of life is that people either have a penis or they have a vagina, and you can never subdue basic human nature without causing people to have problems either of a physical, sexual, psychological or hormonal nature.

Indirectly at the least, stopping grown men especially from reading a `naughty book` which shows a lot of `pussy` is only going to divert his appetite for fantasy and sexual stimulation of the sub-conscience  somewhere else.

It`s going to happen anyway so why attempt to police what grown adults view in a
magazine such as Penthouse or Playboy.

Rather than having censorship and policing what the mens magazines are showing, the government and the sanctimonious do-gooders who are trying to have a total ban
placed on these publications should instead be more concerned with rounding up all the rapists and pedophiles out there who are escaping the justice system with just a slap on the wrist or no slap at all.

They`re the real menaces of society, not a man over the age of 18 who toddles off to a newsagency to buy a stick book.
